Reviews and Testimonials

Not only is this book a fascinating true story of what goes on behind “the white picket fence” but it is also raw revelation about a small infamous town in Ohio called Youngstown. It’s amazing to see things one way as a kid, and then experience harsh enlightenment as an adult.  To Tracy, Debbie (& Terrie too), thanks for the years of research, and pain I would imagine, to create this incredible book.  What a journey! You’re right, every family has a story….I know your book will inspire others to tell theirs too.  Youngstown is full of them!

This story is fascinating not only because it is true, but because two sisters came together to share their lives with others. The intense research is unbelieveable and I am sure painful at times. Being a avid reader of biographes and gangster books, this was a great page turner and did I mention that it is a true account of the life of a family who managed to survive society regardless of their tragic growing up. It is definitely a book worth reading and admiring the authors for being so brave to bring it to the public’s interest. Get it today!

This is a quick and easy read. The authors provide a detailed account of their  father’s life which started with him being abandoned as a toddler and then goes  on to document his life of crime. It’s amazing that they learned more about  their father after he passed away then they knew while he was alive. They discovered the man who he really was, not just the father that they knew.

Great book! I enjoyed this fascinating true crime biography. The mother should be credited for holding this family together. It is wonderful that the family turned out so well. Well worth the read. Love the title.

I read the book cover to cover and could not put it down.  It’s amazing how a person can be so focused on his goals, even if his goals are criminal.  It’s a wonder the family turned out so well, which is a credit to their mother.  Great Book!

This book is about my father’s career in crime. It is a fascinating read. Please pick up a copy written by my two sisters who spent years researching it. Then let me know what you thought about it. I still miss him so much. He was dearly loved.

Every family has a story and this is ours – Brought back so many memories that I thought I’d forgotten – left me wanting more. This will forever be a piece of history for our family. Thanks to Debbie and Tracy for the avenue to learn our roots.
